About Badrinath
Badrinath is one of the most revered Hindu pilgrimage sites in India, part of the Char Dham and Chhota Char Dham circuits. Located in the Chamoli district of Uttarakhand at an altitude of 3,300 meters, it is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. The temple, surrounded by the majestic Nar and Narayan Mountain ranges and near the Alaknanda River, offers a spiritually uplifting experience amid the Himalayan serenity.
Religious Significance:
Badrinath Temple is believed to have been established by Adi Shankaracharya in the 9th century. The presiding deity, Lord Badrinarayan, is a black stone idol seated in a meditative pose. The temple attracts millions of devotees every year during its open season (April–November).

Badrinath Dham Travel Guide
Badrinath Dham is one of the holiest places in Hinduism and one of the 4 most sacred places in India which is known as Char Dham. It is located in Garhwal Himalayas at the elevation of 3300 meters. Badrinath Dham is located about 320 Kms from Haridwar and takes 11-12 hours to reach from Haridwar to Badrinath Dham via road transportation. So, it is suggested that you start at morning around 7-8 Am from Haridwar and stay on the way in Pipalkoti or Joshimath on the day 1, so it won't be very hectic.
On the way you can visit Dhari Devi Temple, Devprayag, Rudraprayag and more places and capture some moments.
On Day 2nd you can early in the morning at around 4-5 Am from Pipalkoti or Joshimath to Badrinath, upon reaching you can take holy bath tapt kund (hot water spring), then proceed to Darshan and Puja at temple. Visit Badri Vishal Temple.
After that you can visit nearby places like Charan Paduka, Mana Village, Bhim Shila, Narad Kund, Dropadi Temple, Ghantakarn Ji Temple
