Char Dham Yatra 2020 Temple Opening Dates & Details

Char Dham Yatra 2020 is an upcoming holy trip to four holy Shrines of Hindu religion, The Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri. These holy places and temples are located in different districts of Uttarakhand state and dedicated to God and Goddess of Hindu religion.

The Badrinath Dham is dedicated to Lord Badri Vishal also known as Lord Vishnu the creator of World. The Kedarnath Dham is dedicated to Lord Shiva and Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham are dedicated to Goddess Ganga and Goddess Yamuna Ji respectively.

Details of Char Dham Places

Shri Badrinath Ji:- Badrinath is one of the four Dhams or we can say most sacred places in Hindu religion. The four Dhams of India are located in the four different directions of India. The other three Dhams of India are Rameshwaram, Jagganath Puri, and Sringeri Math temples. Badrinath Dham is located in the Chamoli Garhwal district of Uttarakhand in the lap of Himalayas.

Shri Kedarnath Dham:- Kedarnath Dham is known for the places of Baba Kedar Lord Shiva. The temple is located in the Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand state and one can reach Kedarnath Dham via 16 Km Trekking route Starting from Gaurikund.

Gangotri Dham:- Gangotri Dham is located in the Uttarkashi District of Uttarakhand state in the higher elevation and one can reach here by drive from Dehradun or Rishikesh. Gangotri Dham is dedicated to Maa Ganga and known for the starting place of Holy River Ganga.

Yamunotri Dham:- Yamunotri Dham is one of four Dhams of Uttarakhand and dedicated to Maa Yamuna Ji and one can reach here by trekking of 6Km from Jankichatti which is connected through road transports.

Char Dham Yatra 2020 Opening Dates

So this year the Char Dham Yatra 2020 is starting from April month and it is confirmed. The Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham temple will reopen on 26th April as every year both temple opens during Akshaya Tritiya but the Badrinath and Kedarnath Temples reopening date if not confirmed yet and will be declared on the occasion of Basant Panchami in the February month 2020.

Badrinath Opening Date:- Around 30 April.

Kedarnath Opening Date:- Around 30 April.

Gangotri Opening Date:- 26th April.

Yamunotri Opening Date:- 26th April.
