🔹 Kedarnath Temple is over 1,200 years old and was revived by Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th century. His samadhi (final resting place) is located just behind the temple.
🔹 The temple stood strong during the 2013 floods, while everything around it was destroyed. A giant rock, now known as "Bhim Shila", rolled behind the temple and protected it from the powerful debris flow.
🔹 Kedarnath is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and is considered the most remote and sacred of them all.
🔹 According to legend, Lord Shiva disguised himself as a bull (Nandi) to avoid the Pandavas. When discovered, he dived into the ground, and the hump appeared in Kedarnath, while his other body parts appeared at different Panch Kedar temples.
🔹 The Kedarnath trek is 18 km from Gaurikund, but now helicopter services and pony/palki options are available, making it more accessible for all age groups.
🔹 Mobile network is limited in Kedarnath. BSNL works the best near the shrine, but it’s recommended to inform your family before starting the trek.
🔹 During peak yatra season, over 20,000 pilgrims visit Kedarnath daily. Booking in advance and official registration is mandatory to ensure safety and coordination.

Pick up From Haridwar Railway Station and Drive to Sonprayag visit Dhari Devi temple after darshan then drive to Sonprayag explore on the way Sightseeing and Check in into the hotel take rest Dinner & Overnight Stay in Sonprayag.
Early morning leave for Kedarnath Dham via trek. Our Cab will drop you at Sonprayag, from there you have to take a local taxi to reach Gaurikund (5 Kms distance), upon reaching on Gaurikund, you will be asked for Yatra Registration and after all, you will start you trek to Kedarnath Dham. The trek takes about 8 Hours to complete. At evening you will arrive at Kedarnath Dham, then visit and Darshan at Kedarnath Temple and after that check in at the Camps. Evening visit surroundings.
