Kedarnath Dham is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva. Nestled at 11,755 ft in the Garhwal Himalayas of Uttarakhand, this ancient temple offers a profound spiritual journey combined with scenic trekking.
Kedarnath is also known for Trekking destination because of its high trek of about 22 Kms from Gaurikund.

Kedarnath Dham Yatra Trek Guide
Kedarnath Dham trek starts from Gaurikund and it once you reach Sonprayag, which is nearest transport hub, from there you can a local taxi to reach Gaurikund which is about 5 Kms and charges for Cab 50/- per person. Once you reach Gaurikund you can show your yatra registration there and start to trek to Kedarnath Dham.
The trek starts with taking holy dip at Gaurikund a hot water spring with religious significance. Once you start the trek you will see many fellow pilgrims are also going to Kedarnath Dham. You will see the little spring; water fall on the way and mesmerizing views of mountain ranges.
Near Rambara which is about 12 Kms from Gaurikund, you can have a meal and restart your trek, then you will reach Lincholi, if you are very tired then you can stay there in GMVN tourist camps and lodge.
Next, you will see the peak of Kedarnath Dham from there and it's about 8 Kms from there to reach Kedarnath Dham.
If you start at Morning, you will reach about afternoon at around 2 -3 Pm to Kedarnath Dham.
Note: Keep Warm clothes, Dry Fruits and Water Bottle and some lemons with you, so you won't be dehydrated.
Upon reaching Kedarnath Dham you can have Darshan at temple and stay there for overnight. you will get plenty of Camps, hotels, Ashram to stay there.

How to Reach
- By Road: Reach Sonprayag via Haridwar/Rishikesh. From Sonprayag, take a shared cab (₹50) to Gaurikund.
- Trek: Gaurikund to Kedarnath (16–22 km) — scenic and moderate-difficult.
- By Helicopter: Services available from Phata, Sersi, Guptkashi. ~₹6,500–₹9,000 (10 min ride).
