Temple Significance: According to Hindu mythology, this is the sacred site where Lord Shiva consumed the deadly poison (halahala) that emerged during the churning of the ocean (Samudra Manthan). The poison turned his throat blue, earning him the name "Neelkanth" (Blue Throat).
