Check the dates before you pick a night

The Mela runs 1 January to 30 April 2027 according to the latest official press note we found. The bathing dates inside that period are a separate list, and sources do not agree on how many are Amrit Snans. We explain it on our Haridwar Kumbh 2027 snan dates page. Read that first if your trip hangs on one particular day.

A booking with us does not guarantee that you can bathe at Har Ki Pauri at a fixed hour. Access follows the instructions that are in force that day.

What a normal 2-night, 3-day trip looks like

Day 1. Arrive and settle. We meet you at the pickup point we agreed with you. You check in at the hotel's normal time unless early check-in is confirmed. Rest. If you arrive early enough and it is allowed, you may be able to see the evening aarti, but we do not promise it.

Day 2. Snan day. This is the one big thing today. Your vehicle can go only as far as the permitted route allows, so the last part may be on foot. We tell you in advance where that is, how luggage will be handled and who to call. After snan, go back to the hotel and rest. Add nearby visits only if everyone still feels fresh.

Day 3. Head home. Breakfast, check-out, and the drop at the agreed point. Leave a buffer before any train or flight. Festival roads are slow.

On a specific snan date the order may change. We fix the final plan with you before you travel.

What decides the price

There is no single Kumbh price, because these things change it:

• The date. Peak snan days are not priced like ordinary days
• The hotel and room type
• Number of people per room, and children
• Number of nights
• Meals, usually breakfast and dinner
• Pickup point and vehicle size
• Any paid help with luggage or accompanying you

A normal-season Haridwar rate does not apply during Kumbh. When we quote, you get the total for your whole group, what is included, what is not, taxes, and the cancellation terms. You can then compare us with anyone else on the same basis.

Hotels: we look at the approach, not just the stars

Two hotels with the same star rating can be very different on a snan day. One has a clear drop point and a short walk. The other has steps at the front and a road that may be closed.

Tent and cottage stays are only offered after we have verified who runs them, where they are and what facilities you actually get.

Cars, pickups and the last stretch

You can ask for a pickup at Haridwar station, Dehradun airport or from Delhi. We match the vehicle to your people and luggage.

We also run a regular Haridwar railway station taxi and a Delhi to Haridwar cab if you only need transport.

What is usually included, and what is not

Usually in the quote: hotel for the nights stated, the meal plan you chose, the transfers listed, vehicle costs shown.

Not included unless we write it in: train or flight tickets, lunch, personal spending, insurance, ropeway or entry tickets, extra nights, porter charges.

If something matters to you, ask us to write it into the quote.

Parents, grandparents and kids

Tell us about stairs, walking limits, mealtimes and luggage when you enquire. A request like "ground-floor room" or "rooms next to each other" is confirmed only when we tell you it is, in writing.

A longer stay helps people avoid rushing, but no package can make every route easy for every person. For health questions, speak to your doctor first.

How booking works

1. You send dates, group size, rooms and arrival point.
2. We send options and an itemized quote.
3. You read the terms and cancellation conditions.
4. You pay as per the quote. Your booking is confirmed once the hotel and other suppliers accept it.
5. Before you travel, we send your pickup details and hotel contact.
