Deoria Tal is known for a single lake located in the hilltop and foothills of various mountain ranges in Uttarakhand. It is associated with Mahabharata Period, it is said that during the Vanvas of Pandvas, Yaksha Asked Question to Pandvas Elder Brother Yudhishter here and then he gave all the answers to Yaksha and got his destiny.
Also, it is said that Gods from heaven used to come and bath here in this Lake, that’s why it named Deoria Tal. There are many other stories associated with this amazing lake.
Deoria Tal is beautiful lake, where you can see the shadow of Chaukhamba peak in the lake and the lake is surrounded by various mountain ranges like Neelkanth, Bandar Punch, Satopanth, Chandrashila and more.

How to Reach Deoria Tal
You must have heard about Rudraprayag in Uttarakhand, so one can reach from Haridwar to Rishikesh via road transportation which includes, shared Buses of GMOU and Shared Taxi (Maxx, Bolero and Sumo) and also private taxi from Gokeys to reach Rudraprayag. Once you reach you can have some food and start your journey towards Ukhimath.
The from Ukhimath to Sari village, which is about 14 Kms by road transportation, so you don’t need to worry anything about trekking till now. So, once you reach Sari Village you can stay there for a night and have some delicious food.
Next Day early morning you can have some breakfast and start your trekking journey towards Deoria Tal. It’s about 2.3 Kms from there, on the way you can visit Omkareshwar Temple and keep trekking to the destination.
After 1-2 Hours of trek, you will arrive at Deoria Tal, where you can see the amazing surroundings, beautiful lake and Rhododendrons trees, which makes the whole environment filled with fragrances.
After staying there for a while and enjoying the destination you can trek back to Sari Village and then return to your natives.
