Gangotri & Yamunotri
Yamunotri and Gangotri are the first two shrines of the Char Dham Yatra, at the sources of the Yamuna and the Ganga in Uttarkashi district. Yamunotri needs a short but steep trek from Janki Chatti, while Gangotri is reached by road through the Bhagirathi valley. These guides cover both: yatra dates, routes from Haridwar, itineraries and costs, the Yamunotri trek, and the permit for the trek beyond Gangotri to Gaumukh.
