Treks
Uttarakhand has treks for every level, from a half-day walk to a lake to high passes that need a week and a good guide. This section collects our trek guides that are not tied to one pilgrimage route: winter treks such as Kedarkantha, remote lakes such as Kagbhusandi, and other Himalayan walks across Garhwal. Each guide gives the route and daily distances, how hard the trek is, the best season, permits and fees where they apply, and what to carry. Treks that start from a shrine or a valley, such as Kedarnath, Tungnath or the Valley of Flowers, are in that place's own category. The guides come from the Gokeys team in Haridwar, who arrange treks with local guides every season.
