Uttarakhand is called Dev Bhoomi, the land of the gods, and many of its journeys are pilgrimages. Beyond the Char Dham there are hundreds of old temples and holy places, from the five Shiva temples of the Panch Kedar to the five river confluences of the Panch Prayag. These guides cover temples and pilgrim sites across the state, such as Adi Badri, Budha Kedar, Lakhamandal, Mahasu Devta at Hanol and Devprayag, as well as journeys further afield: the 12 Jyotirlingas and the Vaishno Devi Yatra. Each one explains the history and legends, timings, how to reach and where to stay. They are written by the Gokeys team in Haridwar, who plan pilgrimage tours for families and groups through the year.
