Char Dham Yatra 2027 registration is expected to become available before the opening of the pilgrimage season in Uttarakhand. Akshaya Tritiya falls on 9 May 2027, when Yamunotri and Gangotri are traditionally expected to open, although final 2027 temple dates and registration announcements should be confirmed through the official authorities.
Registration for the Char Dham Yatra is mandatory, and pilgrims can register through the official Tourist Care Uttarakhand portal or designated registration facilities. Every year the yatra starts from Akshya Tritiya and closes during Diwali festival because the temples are located in high altitude areas, where heavy snow fall is common during winter season. But the Deities of those temples with Doli are brought to other temples for winter worship. So, devotees can still visit the Doli of those temples (Kharsali for Yamunotri Dham, Mukhwa Village for Gangotri Dham, Omkareshwar temple Ukhimath for Kedarnath Dham and Narsingh temple Joshimath for Badrinath Dham).
As we know since 2022 Uttarakhand government has made mandatory to Yatra registration and opened the official portal website, so now every pilgrim needs to do the online or offline registration through official portal or designated counter, and it is checked at check points located at places near before the Dhams, and because without registration entry can be denied for temple visit.

Char Dham Yatra Online Registration Process
A road-based Char Dham Yatra from Haridwar or Rishikesh commonly takes around 9–10 days, although the actual duration depends on the itinerary and government travel requirements. If you are planning a trip to Char Dham Yatra 2027, then you must complete your Yatra registration with govt.
Here’s a complete guide for Char Dham Yatra Registration with step-by-step process, so you can easily do the registration online with official website of Uttarakhand Government.
- First visit the official website. https://registrationandtouristcare.uk.gov.in
- You will be asked for login/ signup here.
- You can sign up for the process by providing you name, email, mobile no and also setting a password.
- After successful signup, your username would be your mobile number, so you can now sign in.
- After signing in, you can plan a trip in the profile section.
- While adding a trip you need to select trip dates, like for Char Dham Yatra it takes 10 Days, so if you are starting from 9th May 2027, then your schedule will be 9th May to 17th May.
- After that it will ask for total no of person in your group is going for this Yatra.
- Then it will ask for cab details, you don’t need to actually fill complete cab details, but you need to add taxi/maxi cab, bus or traveller, you can select as per the guest counts and then click to add.
- After that, now you have to give registration dates for each Dham.
- Like if the Yatra is starting from 9th May then the Darshan date would be 10th Yamunotri, 12th Gangotri, 14th Kedarnath, 16th Badrinath. You can select the date like this and then save the trip.
- Now you have successfully created your trip. So now the main registration process starts.
- You need to add pilgrims one by one to the created trip.
- It will ask for your Aadhar Card Number, then click the send OTP options, once you received the OTP, fill into it.
- Then after successfully authentication, your details will come to the form, you can fill your city, mobile number, emergency name and contact number to it.
- Then Add your recent photographs to it.
- Finally submit the form and you have done your registration, but every passenger needs to do it, means if you are a group of 6 persons, one trip is created then all the 6 persons registration is required.
- Once you done your registration, it will ask to add more pilgrims and then add one by one and all registrations will be done.
But what if you don’t have Aadhar Card with registered mobile no, you have voter id or Driving license, so for that you need to do offline registration, check the process below.
Offline Registration process for Char Dham Yatra 2027
The Offline registration for Char Dham Yatra can be done at designated office or counter made by Uttarakhand Tourism.
Offline registration facilities are available at designated registration centres on the Char Dham route. These locations can change from season to season, so pilgrims should check the latest list on the official Tourist Care Uttarakhand portal before travelling.

When does the Char Dham Yatra 2027 Registration Starts?
As of now the official date of starting of Char Dham Yatra registration 2027 is not announced yet, but the yatra will be starting in May 2027, and as per the last years chart the registration generally opens about 1 month before of commencing the yatra, so we can assume for now April 2027.
