Visit Lakshman Jhula
According to historical past of India, it is said that the Laxman of the epic Ramayana made this bridge out of rope for crossing the Ganga river, with Lord Ram. It is a suspension bridge built across the Ganga river, located 5 kilometres from the Rishikesh city in the Uttarakhand state of India. The bridge connects two important villages, on the west bank is Tapovan and on the east bank is Jonk. Madhuban Ashram:-

Madhuban Ashram is located at the sprawling suburb of Muni-ki Reti, literally “Sands of the Sages” traditionally considered as the gateway for the Char Dham pilgrimage to Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. It is here that the Ganges leaves the Shivalik Mountains in the Himalayas and flows out into the plains of northern India.

14 Story Temple:-

14 Story Temple is a famous tourist spot and holy multi-storey temple located on the banks of river Ganga in Rishikesh. Also called up as Trimbakeshwar Temple in Rishikesh, this holy shrine has 13 storeys and each storey has several idols of Hindu Gods and Goddesses.

The Beatles Ashram:-

In February 1968 the Beatles travelled to the Indian town of rishikesh to attend a session of transcendental Meditation at the ashram of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. It was this visit that changed the world’s outlook of Indian spirituality. This was considered to be the Beatles’ most productive time, they wrote various songs during this visit most of which gained huge media attention and commercial success. This ashram is now a part of Rajaji National Park and has to be entered through the same.

Vashishta Gufa:-

Vashishta Gufa is a famous attraction famous for meditation. Located at the bank of River Ganga, this gufa is situated at a distance of 16 km from Rishikesh. It takes about an hour’s drive on the Rishikesh Badrinath Highway to reach Vashishta Gufa.

For the adventure seeker, this place provides with camping facility. The Vashishta Gufa is situated in the middle of a grove of Gular (Ficus) trees and the slopes leading to sacred River Ganga. It is also famous for a linga, which is considered to be spiritual. It is believed that in the year 1928 and 1961 Sri Swami Purushottamananda Ji visited this gufa and now his ashram is located close to the Vashishta Gufa, where various devotes come for meditation.

Bharat Mandir:-

At a distance of 1.5 km from Rishikesh Railway Station and 500 m from Triveni Ghat, Bharat Mandir is an ancient temple located in the heart of Rishikesh. This temple is also known as Hrishikesh Narayan Temple.

Herbal Garden:-

Located near the Badrinath Road, you will find the beautiful abode of all things Ayurvedic at the Herbal Garden. It is home to multiple parks that include Rashi Vatika, Nakshatra Vatika, Acupressure Park and many others. If you love plants and trees, especially herbal plants, then this garden is just the spot for you. You can grab a glass of fresh juice from the Natural Juice Centre near the garden and be on your way. There are also some great stops inside the garden with animal motifs and graffiti, which can be a great background to click pictures.

Neergarh Waterfall Rishikesh:-

Soak in the jade blue water of the Neergarh Waterfall, popularly known as Neer Gaddu. Feel free to enter the water and enjoy the rush of the waterfall. There are two bridges above the waterfall with some small shops lining the vicinity. Get some snacks to fill your stomach and head to the waterfalls to relax in the scenic beauty.
