Gangotri Dham Temple: – The holy Gangotri temple is located at this sacred town. It is believed that at this place River Ganges descended on the earth after severe penance of King Bhagirathi. The Gangotri Temple was built by the Gurkha general Amar Singh Thapa in early 18th century. The Holy Ganges originates from Gaumukh which is accessible after 19 Kms trek from Gangotri. During winters temple remain inaccessible due to heavy snowfall so statue of Goddess Ganges is brought down to Mukhba Gram, a small village in Harsil which lies on the way to the Gangotri Shrine.

Gaumukh: – Gau Mukh is made with two words which means Mouth of Cow, in the other terms it means the holy river Ganges originates from mouth of Cow, as we already know that cow is a holy animal in Hindu religion. The river Ganges originates from Gaumukh Glacier which is about 18-19 Kms from Gangotri Dham, which takes about 1-2 Days to reach Gaumukh. You can also visit Tapovan which is meadows like form near the Gaumukh.

Day 1 :

Arrival at Haridwar

You will be arrived at Haridwar Railway Station and meet our representative where our cab will pick up you up for the Haridwar Hotel. Evening Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri. Dinner and Overnight Stay in Haridwar.

Day 2 :

Haridwar – Gangotri

Early morning breakfast at hotel and drive to Gangotri. Nestled in the magnificent Garhwal Himalayas, Gangotri is set at an altitude of 3048 mts. Upon arrival at Gangotri take a holy dip in the sacred river Ganges which is also called Bhagirathi at its origin Visit the Gangotri Temple. The 18th century's temple dedicated to Goddess Ganga is located near a sacred stone where King Bhagirathi worshipped Lord Shiva. Ganga is believed to have touched earth at this spot. The temple is an exquisite 20 ft. high structure made of white granite. After performing Pooja Late afternoon back to the hotel. Dinner & Overnight stay.

Day 3 :

Gangotri – Bhojwasa (14 Kms Trek)

Start early from Gangotri to reach Bhojwasa on time via Chirbasa. It is gradual uphill climb on well laid trail through the forest & terrains along with river flowing on one side. Dinner & Overnight Ashram/GMVN.

Day 4 :

Bhojwasa – Gaumukh (4 Kms Trek)

Today will be a tough day as you will have to face some rocky terrains along with steep climbs. The path runs up and down the steep surface through rough paths. You will almost reach Gaumukh Glacier. And there enjoy the beautiful nature along with the glacier view and capture this view in your camera. and 2 – 3 hours. After spending time in Bhojwasa and return back to Bhojwasa. Dinner & Overnight stay.

Day 5 :

Gaumukh – Gangotri

Early Morning trek back to Gangotri from Bhojwasa which is 14 Kms downhill trek. On arrival directly proceed for divine darshan of Goddess Ganges, back to the hotel. Dinner & Overnight Stay.

Day 6 :

Gangotri -Rishikesh – Haridwar

After breakfast drive to Haridwar via Rishikesh Ram Jhula , Laxman Jhula , Triveni Ghat and our cab will drop at Rishikesh or Haridwar Railway Station.
