Uttarkashi is located in Garhwal region which is known for various natural landscapes, mountain ranges and famous temples. It is home for Gangotri Temple which is one of the four sacred sites of the Char Dham Yatra. It is also known for Gaumukh from where Holy river Ganga originates.
